The garage
Eight machines. No best bike.
Dirtstorm MX ships with eight original bikes designed so that choosing one changes your decisions rather than your chances. Every machine reaches a competitive ceiling; they just get there through different corners, different landings, and different tricks.
The launch roster
Ratings are the 1–10 scale you see in the garage. They describe each bike’s character, not a power ranking: a 4 in stability can still win a championship if you keep it off the rough stuff.

All bikes, riders, teams, sponsors, and venues in Dirtstorm MX are original fictional designs. No real manufacturer, model, or trade dress is reproduced.
Four branches, one capstone, real trade-offs
Each bike carries its own upgrade tree: four branches, five standard nodes each, one mutually exclusive choice pair per branch, and a capstone that only comes alive on that specific machine. Costs and prerequisites force specialisation, and choice groups can be respec’d once the main career is done — so a build you loved at Local can be re-cut for World Extreme.
Power
Launch response, acceleration band, top-speed gearing, boost capacity and efficiency, then a choice between low-end torque and high-speed pull.
Handling
Steering response, drift control, braking stability, recovery speed, and the air-to-ground transition that decides whether a big landing stays fast.
Traction
Surface grip and terrain resistance, tuned per venue: packed clay, loose gravel, mud, water crossings, ice, and ash.
Style & Hype
Trick control, combo retention, and Hype banking efficiency — the branch that turns a spectacular lap into spendable career currency.
Why finishing position still matters most
Style accelerates a career; it does not replace one. Placement pays the largest guaranteed prize in every event, so a Hype-maximising line that drops you three places is usually a bad trade. The interesting decision is when it is not.
Spend the whole race protecting a fast line and you finish well. Spend it chasing the crowd and you build something bigger. Dirtstorm is about knowing when to switch.
