Playtest
Get in the dirt early.
Dirtstorm MX is playable today as an early development build for Android and Windows. It is not finished, it is not optimised, and that is exactly why we want testers now: the handling, the Hype economy, and the twelve-track roster are still being tuned, and the fastest way to tune them is real hands on real phones.
What you get
The real race loop
Gate drop, laps, position, Hype banking, results, rewards, and a garage purchase that changes the next race. Career progression, sponsors, and upgrade trees are all live in the build.
Three tracks in build
County Fair Clash, Pine Hollow MX, and Quarry Rush ship inside the current build. The remaining nine have their design locked and are in production, so the events are visible in the career flow.
Real device testing
Android 10+ ARM64, landscape on phones, tablets, and foldables. If you own a mid-range phone, you are exactly who we need: the 30 fps floor on minimum hardware is a gate, not a hope.
Honest status, before you install
- It is a development build. Visual quality, audio mixing, and performance are still being finished, and the physical-device performance and thermal acceptance pass is not complete.
- Some races are still being validated. Handling repeatability and full-course completion are actively under test, so expect rough edges and occasional resets.
- Nine tracks are still in production. Their events are visible but gated as in production rather than playable.
- Nothing is collecting your data. No accounts, no analytics, no ads. The build needs no network connection and asks for no runtime permissions.
Controls
Touch, both thumbs
Landscape-only, split-zone steering, large accelerate and brake regions, and two contextual actions placed for thumb reach. Mirrored, assisted, and tilt profiles are included, and every control can be remapped.
Keyboard and gamepad
Arrows steer, W throttles, S brakes, Shift boosts, Space styles, hold R resets, Esc pauses. On a gamepad: left stick, triggers, South to boost, West to style.
Platforms
Mobile-first: iOS 15+, iPadOS 15+, and Android 10+ on ARM64, at 30 fps floor and 60 fps target profiles. A Windows x64 build runs the same content for desk testing. VR through OpenXR is being explored ahead of a Quest 3 spike, not promised.
Playtest builds are shared directly with testers, so no store account is needed yet. Store listings and the full unlocked release follow after device acceptance.
Tell us your phone model and Android or iOS version when you write in, and we will send the build that fits it.
