Announcing Dirtstorm MX: race the line, work the crowd, build the bike

Hello, and welcome to the dirt. Dirtstorm MX is now far enough along to show you what we are building: an isometric arcade motocross game where the fastest line and the loudest line are two different decisions.

Dirtstorm MX riders battling through a berm

    The idea in one race

Three minutes. Six laps. Four riders breathing on your fender. The quick way around the berm protects your position; the long way over the tabletop clears the pack and lands you in front of a grandstand that is about to lose its mind. You cannot always do both, and the game is built entirely around that choice.

Tricks are not a cutscene. They feed Hype, Hype feeds your career, and your career feeds the garage: eight original bikes, each with four upgrade branches, mutually exclusive choice nodes, and a capstone that only works on that machine.

    Where it stands today

The race loop, handling model, career ladder, sponsors, garage, ghost replays, accessibility options, and adaptive audio are running in a playable vertical slice. Three venues are in the build: County Fair Clash, Pine Hollow MX, and Quarry Rush. The other nine circuits — from Baja Crossing and Port Festival to Glacier Run and the World Final — have their design locked and their art direction finished, and they are next in line.

What we are not going to do is pretend it is finished. Physical-device performance and thermal acceptance are still open, handling repeatability is being validated on real phones, and we will say so in plain language until those gates close.

    What we promise, permanently

No ads. No energy timers. No loot boxes. No paid score boosts. No accounts, and no data collection of any kind — the runtime makes no outbound network requests at all. You buy the game, you own the race.

    Want in early?

We are looking for testers with real phones, especially mid-range Android devices, because the 30 fps floor on minimum hardware is a gate we have to earn rather than a hope we can market. If that sounds like you, ask for a playtest build and tell us what you carry.

More soon. The dirt is only going to get louder.
